Wrenn Memorial Baptist Church

Hello and thanks for dropping by our website! God has given me the pleasure of being pastor of one of the most unique fundamental Baptist congregations in Greenville, South Carolina, and I'm glad to be able to introduce her to you!

 

Wrenn Memorial is the oldest Independent Baptist Church in Greenville, organized in 1938 and constituted January 1939, Wrenn's history is one of love for the Savior and the uncompromising preaching of the Word of God.

 

Some of what makes Wrenn unique is the fact that in her almost seventy-one year history, Wrenn has had only five pastors. Rev. Dallas Mathis started the church and had a six month tenure. Rev. John Wrenn followed and stayed for twenty-five years, filling the pulpit until the Sunday before his death in 1964. Rev. John Everhart took over after Brother Wrenn's passing, staying thirty-five years plus a two year interim. At his retirement, Rev. Robbie Robertson came and served six years and then accepted Trinity Baptist in Pelzer, South Carolina. In 2008, I was called as pastor I hope to stay here until the Lord returns!

 

Wrenn is also unique in the attitude of the membership. There is not a friendlier church in Greenville, which you will discover from your first visit! Everyone desiring to worship the Lord in the Spirit of Truth and Holiness is welcome and that certainly means you!

 

Wrenn has remained a traditional church, focusing on the preaching of the infallible, inerrant Word of God and using the King James Bible. Our services are lively, and our congregation very "enthusiastic!" We love the Lord at Wrenn and it shows!

 

I can share with you my enthusiasm about our Church and the work God is doing, but the best way for you to find out is to come see it for yourself.
